Grandma Maria's Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Updated: Oct 28, 2020

For as long as I can remember, my grandmother and my dad made me a special pound cake, which I call Grandma Maria’s cream cheese pound cake. Every birthday, holiday, dance recital and other event my grandma and dad would trade off making it. The cream cheese pound cake has been a family staple. As we are all stuck in the house, and more people turn to baking for entertainment, this is a fun and easy recipe you can try. The cream cheese pound cake is a simple and sweet cake that will make a great dessert or snack.

Ingredients:

1 8-ounce cream cheese

½ pound of sweet, unsalted butter

2 cups of sugar

6 eggs

1 cup of milk

3 cups of sifted self-rising flour

1 tablespoon of vanilla

Directions:

  1. Beat eggs, set aside.

  2. Cream the cream cheese, sugar and butter.

  3. Add in thirds, the eggs, milk and flour.

  4. Add vanilla.

  5. Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.

  6. Bake cake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour.
